The purpose of a PADI Specialty Course is to familiarise you with the techniques, knowledge, planning, organisation, potential hazards and safety skills for various special interest areas of diving. The Specialty Course is a safe and supervised introduction to that area.
Two day courses are a little more in-depth requiring more time and more diving.
This is a challenging and very exciting course that includes four training dives over at least two days. During your first open water dive you'll practice line handling, reel use and emergency procedures without entering a cavern. But, for your next three dives, you're headed into the cavern, staying within the light zone and 40 meters/130 feet total distance from the surface. You learn about:
•Cavern navigation and line protocols
•Planning, organization, techniques, problems and hazards of cavern diving
•Special equipment use, such as lights, guidelines, reels and redundant breathing systems
•Air sharing, disorientation, silting, line problems and other emergency procedures specific to cavern diving
•Silt prevention, buoyancy control, air management and emergency procedures
•Depth and distant limits for cavern diving

PADI's Deep Diver Specialty course teaches you how to plan and carry out deeper dives - safely and with confidence. When a diver is properly trained to dive below 18m, a fascinating array of new underwater sights come into focus.
From historic shipwrecks to dramatic walls, training as a deep diver will help you feel comfortable exploring sites located in deeper water. Any dive below 18m is considered a deep dive.
The PADI Deep Diver video shows you what you need to know to become qualified for deep diving. You'll go deep diving with PADI professionals as you learn about proper planning for recreational deep dives down to 40m, special equipment and techniques reserved for deep dives.
